“Because that would mean that everything he ever said that I interpreted as sincere is subject to interpretation, and in that case, what I perceive as his feelings for me may only really be reflected projections of my feelings for him.” —Carrie Bradshaw

“After we made love I knew it was over. Did I ever really love Big or was I addicted to the pain? The exquisite pain of wanting someone so unattainable?” —Carrie Bradshaw (via iheartsexandthecity)

Public Relations vs. Marketing vs. Advertising

The difference between these three terms:

Marketing is the selling of a service or product through pricing, distribution, and promotion. Marketing ranges from concepts such as free samples in the hands of consumers to buzz campaigns.

Advertising is a subset of marketing that involves paying to place your message in more traditional media formats, from newspapers and magazines to radio and television to the Internet and outdoors..

Public Relations is the marketing of organization and the use of unbiased, objective, third-party endorsement to relay information about that organization’s products and practices.

Design: The 'Invisible Shoe'

Designer: Andreia Chaves

To footwear designer Andreia Chaves, each shoe is an individual work of art.  Raised in the busy metropolis of Sao Paulo, Brazil – Chaves understands that beauty can be found in chaos, a concept that reveals itself in her footwear designs.  She explains this in her own words,

“The fact that I grew up in a chaotic city like Sao Paulo, full of contrasts, being in contact with such diversity and constant exposure to different visual inputs, has inspired me in how I think and conceptualize my shoes. Looking at my work, I can clearly see influence coming from my South American sense of versatility.  Also in the mix - what I have been experiencing in Europe.”

During her time in Florence, Italy, she’s been intensely studying form, texture & visual effect, and experimenting with different materials on footwear design. Check out some more of her designs after the jump:
